Local Stations are part of every SwyftTV package

We understand that SwyftTV may not be the best solution for all our customers...that's why we made it a completely optional add-on service. There are many other streaming platforms that may better fit your viewing habits (here's some good Google search results). But if watching LOCAL STATIONS is important to you, then we encourage you to consider SwyftTV! No matter which tier of SwyftTV you choose, your local broadcast stations will be included.

Your DMA determines the local stations you receive

Just like with most traditional cable systems, the local stations that are available on your SwyftTV subscription are determined by which "Designated Market Area" in which you live.

The U.S. is divided into 210 Designated Market Areas (DMAs), and each individual county/parish in the country falls into a specific DMA. The reason you may not be able to access the closest "over the air" channels to your home is because the local affiliates choose to be the ONLY affiliate of their network in the particular DMA. The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) enforces this by making cable and streaming providers only make the appropriate local stations available on their lineups.

We've created this DMA Map as a reference for customers to see which local stations they'll have on their SwyftTV lineup. Plus, we've included the entire lineup of channels available on SwyftTV.
